Please join us on Wednesday, July 12th from 9-11 AM for the Washtenaw County Food Policy Council meeting. This meeting will be held via Zoom (see information below). The agenda is attached.
Additionally, You're Invited to Participate in a
Racial Equity Audit for the WFPC:
The Executive Committee would like to invite 3-5 Food Council members or Policy Action Team members to participate in a racial equity audit of our WFPC current processes. This audit is meant to support our Food Policy Council, understand their current position
in centering equity and determine ways to be more intentional. All sessions will be facilitated by Keesa V. Johnson Racial Equity seat.
The project will consist of the following:
- Project will start week of July 24th
- 3 meetings at 1.5hrs each (times determined by team)
- Meetings will entail data collection, listening, and synthesizing findings
- Presentation Report to all members of WFPC to review
Results will be utilized for Action Planning with consultants.
All participants will receive a facilitated guide book that describes the audit process in more detail.
