 Dear Lindsay,

I hope this finds you well.
I am KAJENEZA Thierry, I work in Burundi at ICIRORE C'AMAHORO Organization
Our area of work is SGBV, SRHR, and Human RIghts
Coming back from the WD Conference last year, I started working with marginalized categories of women in order to empower them. I grouped them in CBOs and now they are well seen in the society. That is why ActionAid International Burundi became our partner in promoting women'srights via sustainable agriculture.I keep on working on schools in order to allow young pupils grow up with skills and knowledge of Human Rights.

Dear Lindsay and Sara,

Many thanks for such a wonderful opportunity to share our work on Sexual ans Gender-based Violence (SGBV) Prevention.

I am a youth advocate from Uganda my organization has and continues to be involved in SGBV prevention efforts in the communities where we work over the last 4 years. Specifically, we are involved in Community Awareness and Male Involvement.

The awareness component involves community outreaches in partnership with the GBV Prevention Network as well as our Lunch-Time Conversations on Gender that we have been conducting every Wednesday at Makarere University in collaboration with the Makerere University Gender Students Association.

The male involvement component is implemented through candid informal conversations with men about the significance of their involvement in SGBV prevention efforts and ways in which they can get involved. The informal discussions usually target finding the men where they are most conveniently located. For instance, we have had most of these discussions at Malwa (local brew) drinking pubs.

Our work (stories, pictures and video clips) on this subject will be featured on our website once the upgrade is done (we hope to have finished before Nov. 25th).

Thanks again for the opportunity to share our work on this subject with you and the rest of the world.

Kind regards,
