Hi all!

I am starting work on a book drive to create a small reference library
in the shed. Below is a copy of the press release I put together for
this. I will try to get it on the FB page also. If anyone has any
ideas
or whatever please let me know.

Wrightwood Community Garden Book Drive

The Wrightwood Community Garden is coming up on its first full year of
gardening activities and as the garden grows members are looking for
ways to expand and enhance the public garden. One effort includes
building a small reference library in the garden shed for all to use
in their quest for knowledge of the green thumb sort, as well as
bountiful crops.
We are looking for gardening and organic reference books of all sorts.
The garden does focus on organic practices, so books that reflect this
system are highly desired. This season also includes two new
children’s plots, so books for young gardeners are also welcome.
If you have gardening books that you would like to donate, if you
would like to purchase a book or make a donation to the book fund
please call Anjela @760.662.3636 or email mail4...@hotmail.com.

Do they have to be reference books?    I have two books that my children had that are story books, "The Lady and the Spider" and "Growing Vegetable Soup" that was going to the thrift shop but I'd rather donate it to the garden if you want it.

I think whatever members feel is useful is acceptable. If that is something the kids will enjoy while at the garden I don't see why not.

I would like to get a corner bookshelf for the shed to set up this small library, does anyone have one to donate? Longshot I know, but you never know ;-D

Thanks everyone! Thanks Lori!
