Hello everyone,

The herb garden frame is in place.  It will be filled with soil soon, then the fun begins.  Y
here will be a sprinkler with drip connections.  I' going to use the packet I got from the water company last year.

I wonder what you would like in the garden.  Those I've talked to agree that perennials are
best for now.  That would basically be plants that will overwinter pretty well.  Have any ideas of plants to put in?
I'm thinking rosemary, thyme, sage, chives for sure.  I have seed for echinacea and English tall lavender which I thought
would be worth a try.

Some plants on the NO list seem to be catnip, mints and lemon balm.  Actually I have a split vote for lemon balm.
Also Stephanie and I were thinking that basil and cilantro would be best grown individually since they are used pretty
heavily, though   some could be put in as filler once the plan is put together.

I did buy some stevia seeds at Mt Hardware.  I just could resist....
Let me know your Ideas and if you have donations, I'd be thrilled to have them.

Looking forward to hear from you.

Regards,

Oh, cool, I was going to ask about stevia - that would be great!

Would dill be a possibility?

I agree with the basil/cilantro idea.

What about oregano, marjoram, parsley or lemongrass? I don't know much about growing the latter, but have grown the others. Also, scented geranium adds nice variety and something different if you are looking for additional plant options.

Is it NO mint because they are more aggressive?

I have rosemary seeds that I am hoping will sprout, if they do you can have some. It's the only herb I have so far this season.

Sounds great!

This is a great idea.......I like all the plants you've suggested.  If I can think of any others, I'll mention and if I find any good ones, I'll buy them and leave in the shed.

I also made some copies of how to make your own dry and liquid stevia from the leaves - I'll leave them in the shed at some point.  I hope the stevia plant grows well!
