WBS 470A pres project

HI folks

I bought two old WBS 470A pre's to rack into a project (photos attached) here in New Zealand where good pres are very expensive to purchase

Serial no's 8010258 and 8010262 

They came from an old Radio NZ broadcast desk and the previous owner had also populated a PSU which is non-functional

The PSU PCB is labelled 'PSU-1 GJR 2012' and is of unknown origin (photo attached)

The pres look pretty good apart from a blown tant cap (C33 68/10V) in one of them, and missing some knobs

Am sourcing a new PSU so that I can provide phantom power, and would also like to include Line in jack and master gain. Have also spoken to Tom Gruning about how to proceed with this

Anyway, thanks for all the manuals and schematics on this site, much appreciated

Hi Andrew.

Replace all tantalum capacitors - as we have learned they have about a 40 year life span.  For apowersupply you have an Australian fellow making powersupplies that work pretty well - JLM

start there.  Not the best layout for service, but they do work.
