Just a word of thanks to all of those Worthington residents who sent emails and letters to City Council regarding the Lifestyle Communities request to rezone the former UMCH property. As you may know by now City Council unanimously denied the application for rezoning. Lifestyle Communities can resubmit a new application six months from the time of MPC's denial of the original rezoning request which places the new time line around April of 2022. It is not known at this time if a new application will be submitted but the theme remains the same that the denied application was too dense with too few housing choices and precious little usable greenspace for this legacy property.
