Former UMCH property litigation and mediation

The City of Worthington and LC (Lifestyle Communities) litigation resulted in our City winning 8 of 10 claims relating to the former UMCH property at 1033 North High St. The court schedule shows mediation is to begin May 16.

Now is the time to urge City Council to mediate a solution that allows the City to control the outcome of the former UMCH property. Council meets tomorrow (Monday, May 1st) and the agenda shows there will be an Executive Session “To Conference with an attorney(s) for the City concerning pending or imminent litigation.” Please email your comments to: cou...@worthington.org . Residents throughout the City understand that an option is a purchase of the property that will permit appropriate mixed-use development as residents have expressed to the City over these years. Specifically, business, residential and green space that will enhance our community and not overburden our schools, safety and city services.
