Runway closure at W96

Good afternoon,

 

The contractor for the runway marking project has looked at the forecast and now would like to begin tomorrow.  We will try to work tomorrow on a pull back basis, which means that the runway will not be closed.  This is mostly due to the short notice and to try and keep the schedule for New Kent Aviation in tact as much as possible.  We intend to completely close the runway on Friday so that they can get this project knocked out.

 

This has been a challenging project to schedule because the forecast keeps changing, but we need to get it finished before the new instrument procedures get published later in August. The new procedures will include a number change from 10 & 28 to 11 & 29.
