Good Afternoon Ward 1!

Spring has sprung--It's time to get out and get involved and there's plenty to do.  We made it through the primary and already have found ourselves in a special election; Tim Day is running in Ward 5, the election is May 15th and we need to help him get elected.  Consider making a donation, be sure to check out his website (http://www.timdaydc.com/), and volunteer to help whenever you can!  We also want to host a fundraiser for Tim if we can so bring your ideas to the April meeting.  Tim is a great opportunity for us to get a smart, hard-working, Republican member on the Council.

I am excited to say we have a guest speaker attending our April meeting; thanks to Brian Wrenn, one of our members, Cathy Kelleher with Election Integrity Maryland will come to speak about her organization the importance of their work.  Election Integrity Maryland (http://www.electionintegritymaryland.com/) is a citizens initiative that promotes confidence in the integrity of elections held in Maryland on the local, state, and national level; election integrity should be a number one priority and hopefully we can learn how their efforts might be employed here in the district.
