This is an update concerning VDOG.ORG/DRIFT-IN.ORG.

VDOGUSA.ORG

vdog.org is dead and won't be available to us for a long while. The current owners aren't interested in selling for a reasonable price. Perhaps in the future it will be available.

As a result, VDOGUSA.ORG (and com and net) has been registered to take its place. Scott "Rideon" Steen (host of yahoo vdog forum and founder of the Drift-In) will be pointing folks to this domain. Right now the domain is pointed at the VDR site, but it will soon have its own homepage and other vdog specific pages. VDR and VDOG will share other resources as appropriate.

VDOG and VDR registrations will continue. You can get both numbers. We are working on this part now.

We have a bunch of info from the old VDOG site and will include that as appropriate.

SO... please eliminate any links/bookmarks etc associated with vdog.org and put vdogusa.org in its place. VDOGUSA.org is now live (pointed at the vdr site) and will soon have its own pages. If you find references to vdog.org anyplace on the net please ask the webmasters to update their links.

DRIFT-IN.ORG

Similar problem. The Drift-In.org domain was registered by Todd "Bulldog" Grundy who is still the contact for the domain. Bulldog retired from the military and moved to the Philippines in 2006 or so. My attempts to contact him have failed. The domain won't expire until 2013. At the moment, it appears the domain pointers aren't pointing anywhere, and we can't update them.

So... until that is worked out, we will make a section on the VDOGUSA.org site for the Drift-In. This section will include event info, history, info from the experts on hosting a Drift-In, regional Drift-Ins, links to store items, registration and links to a drift-in specific info forum for hosts and participants. Plus any other related info. This will also be the place for Drift-In pics etc.

Hosts, past and present, are invited to provide biographies, info about "their" drift-in etc for inclusion. Also we will have a section specifically for hosts to help them plan a drift-in.

Drift-in.org is still dead, but info will be on the vdogusa.org site. We will be working on that ASAP... so any info pertaining to the Drift-In needs to be sent to my attention so I can include it on the site. We will continue to try to get the original domain name pointed correctly.

Please feel free to provide us with your comments and suggestions.
