To all members of the Visual Anthropology ML,
I hope this mail finds you well. This is Ran Muratsu from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.
We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting the workshop "Curating Visual Anthropology: Multimodal Approaches in Applied Visual Anthropology" at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies from March 5th (Wednesday) to March 9th (Sunday). The workshop will be led by Dr. Pedram Khosronejad, the editor-in-chief of Visual Anthropology (Taylor & Francis).
This participatory workshop will not only cover recent trends in visual anthropology but will also provide practical experience on how to curate and exhibit visual materials such as films and photographs in an anthropological context. On the final day, participants will have the opportunity to present their work in an exhibition.
Workshops focusing on visual anthropology from a curatorial perspective are rare even on an international scale, making this a valuable opportunity. We encourage anyone interested to apply.
