The hike for this coming Tuesday will take place at Reservoir Park, 22211 Water Vista Drive, Ashburn, VA. The park is centered around the Beaverdam Reservoir, the largest body of water in Northern Virginia. We will take the Reservoir Park Trail, which circumnavigates
the reservoir, twice: first in the counter-clockwise direction and then in the clockwise direction. The trail is about 7.5 miles in length. Along the first circuit we will also take in the Goose Creek Pointe Loop, which adds between 1½ and 2 miles to the
total, so the total length of the hike will be just under 17 miles.

For those living in the DC Metro area, the drive is quite short (less than 40 minutes from Fairfax; it will be somewhat longer for residents living further east), so we will start at 8:15 rather than 8:30. Also, there is no carpool, since from most starting
points the Centreville lot is somewhat out of the way of the route to the park.
Please respond to let me know if you are coming so that we don't leave anyone behind when we take off.
