Several of us TVH’ers are going on a guided hike/tour in Oman next February.  It is run by “KE Adventures”, a UK-based adventure outfit that we also used on a “High Peaks of the Balkans”hiking trip to Albania and nearby countries in September.  

At the moment, there are seven slots left to fill in our running which goes from 6-15 Feb, starting and finishing in the capital city of Muscat.  The trip is “Guaranteed to a run”, so no worries about it happening, but there is a maximum of twelve participants so I thought I’d spread the word in case other like-minded hikers out there want to take advantage while there is still room.

This trip is a combination of supported tent camping and hotel-based nights, largely in the mountainous west of the country with the highest peak of 9000+ feet visited and other interesting terrain features.  Check out the below link which gives details of the trip including a day-by-day itinerary.

If you have any questions beyond the KE trip description just let me know and I’ll do my best to answer them.  

If you’re looking for a winter warm (but not too warm) weather destination but want some adventure too this trip may be for you!

I'm considering this trip, but want to do more than a hike in Oman if I travel to the Middle East.  This Jan 23-Feb 5 tour caught my eye:
