Greetings,

*Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve and Oatlands Plantation* Starting at the Banshee Reeks Visitor Center (39.028626,-77.59952) at 8:30 am, we will hike most of the trails in the southern half of the preserve.  Then we will follow its eastern boundary trails to the entrance and then The Woods Road, Banshee Drive, and Oatllands Mill Road to Oatlands Plantation.  After a leisurely lunch by the plantation house, we’ll return to Banshee Reeks to hike trails in the northern half of the preserve.  The route is highlighted in pink on the attached maps; about 16 miles with 1500 feet of ascent.  As is evident, we’ll need to stay together for this one.  There are no carpools planned.

Let me know if you will meet me at the Banshee Reeks Visitor Center at 8:30 am.
