Hi Bill

 

I had a strange one after they did some work on our repeater and I tried and tested 2 N7500 and it only happened one 1 and then it was gone the next day. Both N7500 had been off for 2-3 months.. Strange.

 

I have tried your problem and I can only hear what sounds like processor noise on min via the BT… and no noise using the wired microphone..

Per the attached audio file I have this issue with BOTH the N7500's I have.

 

It occurs on 145.21 and 146.625 (may be more) and is intermittent.

 

Can anyone comment on this?

 

Note that if both radios are tuned to the same frequency only one will exhibit this intermittent noise.

 

Spoils an otherwise great radio.

The audio appears to be noise generated by the receiver - observed on the hand mic, Bluetooth mic and android.

As this is happening on both my 7500's is definitely an issue with these receivers.

My requests to VGC go unanswered.

This is a frustrating experience in that the referenced frequencies exhibit this intermittent (about 80 percent) receiver noise.

Also...the frequencies of this "interference" are different, and VHF-only on each radio.

Terrible to spoil such an otherwise excellent rig.
