I see how to create new memory groups (of 16 channels each), and it looks like I can push a group from the phone into "channel group 1" through "channel group 12".  However, once I' have created those groups and pushed them to (say) "Channel Group 2", I don't know how to switch to that group.  The only thing I can figure out how to do is keep overwriting "Channel Group 1".  What am I missing.  Again, I'm on iOS.

Thanks so much for this forum. This seem like a nice and capable radio, but the manufacturer's documentation is nearly non-existent, and the interface itself is not at all clear.

Hi Michael
Not sure how many banks of 16 you can store now as my iPhone is out of date and I use Android which has lots more features than iOS

At the start I did a document on both apps...
These you can find in the files section here.

Min,

Thanks.  I have read all of those documents. I understand that you're not up-to-date on the iOS version.  I'm hoping there's some other iOS user who can help.  Here's what I'm seeing.  From Settings->Channels & Groups, I can:
    1. Click "+" to create a new Group (that lives on my phone) from scratch.
    2. Click "Import Device Channels", which will take the active Group from the radio and save it to my phone
    3. Click "<group name>" to edit a group that's living on my phone, or
    4. Click the <arrow to phone> button for one of the groups on my phone, to push that group to the radio.  When I do that, it says "Upload to Device" and asks me choose "Channel Group 1" through "Channel Group 12" (I'm NOT concerned about 12 vs more right now)
I have the little bluetooth walkie controller.  With that, I can see that there are indeed 12 channel groups on the radio, and I can use the walkie to switch between them.  However, I don't know how to switch between channel groups from my iOS phone.  From the phone, the only thing I can do is keep over-writing Channel Group 1. I'm REALLY hoping there's just some icon I missed or maybe a non-obvious swipe or push-and-hold I haven't discovered.

Thanks,
 Michael

Thanks

Yes you will need to over right the memories in the radio as it only stores 16… and it takes a few seconds.

Min (et al.),

The radio does store 12 groups of 16 channels each.  I can "Upload to Device" them into channel groups 1-12 using my phone.  Then, I can turn my phone off and use the BHM-78 bluetooth handset (deep in the menu) to tell the radio to switch between those groups.  So, the radio is definitely storing those 12 groups.  I just can't find a way to switch groups using the iOS app.  Maybe there is no way.

I know it's not hard to just keep overwriting Group 1.  I did it all weekend.  It's mildly annoying working through the menus to do it, but the REAL annoyance is that I'd like to have multiple users for this radio, and to do that, I'll either need to keep all of these groups synchronized across multiple phones (just crazy) or purchase a phone to dedicate to the radio itself.  Yes, if I do that, it will likely be android.

Thanks for the help.  I'm just clarifying here in case some other iOS user has found a way to switch groups that I missed.

…….. or purchase a phone to dedicate to the radio itself……..

This is what I did (7 inch Android tablet). Mine was the opposite problem though, I am the only user but I have two radios (one mobile, one base). This works for me because I can only use one radio at a time, and it gives me the exact same experience on both radios.
