Sample of inermittent VHF receiver noise

Per the attached audio file I have this issue with BOTH the N7500's I have.

It occurs on 145.21 and 146.625 (may be more) and is intermittent.

Can anyone comment on this?

Note that if both radios are tuned to the same frequency only one will exhibit this intermittent noise.

Spoils an otherwise great radio.

Hi Bill,

I would say this is the same issue that i have.

If you have a signal generator you could test with -90dBm where my radio started making the noice.

So there appear to be many of us experiencing the same issue -

VHF only

Signal strength only a bit over full quieting

How do we get VGC to respond to this issue with a possible fix?
