Job: DBA (Skills: Oracle and Couchbase)
Dallas, TX
All of these openings are remote.
18 month contracts,
REMOTE these do not need to be USC.
Database operations Support on 24x7 basis(2 shifts starting 5:30-14:30/13:30-22:30).
Detailed Scope of work
- Onboarding of Mindtree Cloud Operations team
- Environment access for Ops team verified & IAM roles defined
- Understanding of ticket assignment Process and Lifecycle
- Identify current toolset configuration and CI’s
- Gather and Validate reporting requirements
- Incident, Problem and Change Management Process study
- Jointly work with Client to verify KEDB and SOP Documents
- Perform DBA roles and responsibilities
- Track and manage complete ticket management life cycle using ITSM tools(SNOW)
- Create documentation and update knowledge repository for known issues.
- Triaging and escalation of tickets to Client Team or third Party as required.
- Build, Manage, and patch the databases
- Create and Deploy changes as DBPE change management process.
- Weekly and Monthly Reporting
- Managed Services Scope if invoked by Client, will be mutually agreed and amended to the SOW, otherwise the current SOW will continue in a fixed fee model.
- Transition to Managed Services
- Integrated Operating Model with Platform Driven Delivery (Ex: Mindtree IP & Accelerators viz. MWatch)
- Automation First Approach - Identify Automation opportunities to improve the services delivered
- Cost Governance and Assurance
- Transparent and Robust Governance
- Improved SLAs
- Leave and absence backup for continued 24/7 service

- RMAN -what are the Encryption methods in RMAN - RMAN offers three encryption modes: transparent mode, password mode, and dual mode.
- RAC - what are the situations Node eviction happens
- RAC - what is the role of GPNPD -
- security - what is TDE and Data Redaction
Min 8 years of experience
• 8 years of experience with 24x7 Production and development databases.
• BS/BA or MS/MA in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related disciplines preferred, or equivalent years of experience
• Database admin at mission critical web-service company with high availability.
• Min 6 yrs experience in Oracle with expertise in Oracle RAC Databases.
• 3-4 yrs experience of Golden Gate and Data Guard(logical/Physical).
• 3-4 yrs Experience in DB migration to cloud or on prem data centers.
• 2-3 yrs experience in Cloud database technologies(AWS, Oracle, Google)
Nice to have:
• Other RDBMS technologies Couchbase, MySQL, MS Sql, Informix preferred.
• Good to have cloud certification (AWS, Azure, etc)
