You might have seen this, it got a lot of press, but I thought it was neat to finally see all the details in action:

All the furniture is from a company called Revolve furniture, which has a showroom down in Gastown. The furniture is horrendously expensive (like $5000 for a little transforming bed) but it seems super hackable. I'm pretty sure the dining room table they use is actually made from stock aluminum extrusion, I was looking at it in the store...

Anyway, might give you some ideas.

I used to make custom furnature and really $5000 for low production bed is pretty reasonable. Lots of really good ideas in there. I suggest we all watch this and kinda pay attention to how things work. I think in a new space, even if it's not ideal, we can make it ideal using really cool methods such as the moving wall or fold up furniture.

And of course, I keep looking at this and going, "heh, i can print that"... when you have a hammer...

I love the stoves!!!... you can really just have the stove where you need it. I also love the table, wow, that's elegant. Where's the soldering station go though?... and the laser cutter... man... there's no room for any of the fun toys.
