Hey all,

Has anyone actually done the graphene printing with a cd drive? Would be fun too make some quick charge batteries :)

Considering that technique has yet to leave UCLA labs, unlikely. I would love to give that a shot when we get the materials trickle down. I've always had a thing for supercapacitors. Mmmmhm!

I've been wanting to do this ...

I bought a Lightscribe drive and it seems some of them chemicals are readily available. Others might be a challenge. It also looks like there is some potential risk in producing the graphite oxide (with a proper lab and equipment)

It's been on my to-do list so if you go forward with this, I'd definitely be interested in participating.

I would also be interested in this project.

The paper I previously linked is quite old, perhaps someone can dig up some more recent papers on it.  I don't have any academic journal access.
