Get out in the countryside and visit three local farms on a short loop through colorful Brush Prairie!  Conveniently located between Vancouver and Battle Ground, the three farms, Garden Delights, Half Moon Farms and Scented Acres, each showcase unique offerings.

 

Scented Acres features lavender plants and products and will have lavender lemonade, cookies and samples.  Potted lavender and herbs are available along with many gifts in their gift cottage.  Visitors will see goats, baby chicks and full grown chickens and can walk through the beautiful display gardens.  Sweet Nectar Nursery specializing in hummingbird and butterfly attracting plants will be there along with Las Flores del Altipano Alpacas with alpacas.

 

Half Moon Farms will have honey and samples, along fresh flower bouquets and flower gardens to walk through.  A chicken tractor showcasing how people can have chickens in their backyards will be set up.  Garden art from the farm and Volcano Garden Art will be on display along with M&T pet products. 

 

Garden Delights features herbal pet products and treats, culinary herb blends and herbal gifts.  Tours of the aerated compost system on the farm will be provided at 10:30, 12 pm and 1:30.  Chef Anna Petruolo of A Dinner Together will be on hand to provide fresh samples of beef and veggies from the farm from 11 am to 1 pm. 

 

Erin Harwood of Garden Delights says “This is a terrific opportunity for families to have a great time together at three local farms and connect with local agriculture.  The farms are close enough that they can all be visited in a few hours and they all provide great hands-on activities for everyone.”
