The Clark County Historical Society (CCHS) shall host an exhibit on
food from July 26 - September 14, 2008 at the Clark County Historical
Museum, 1511 Main Street, Vancouver WA 98660.
"Key Ingredients: America by Food" is sponsored in conjunction with
the Smithsonian Institution and Humanities Washington with an opening
reception Saturday, July 26, from 3-5pm.
According to their promotional postcard: "Key Ingredients: America by
Food" explores the connections between Americans and the foods they
produce, prepare, preserve and present at the table - a provocative
and thoughtful look at the historical, regional and social traditions
that merge in everyday meals and celebrations.

Mon 11 Aug, 12pm Luncheon in honor of Clark County's school lunch
ladies
Thu 21 Aug, 7pm Dr. Candice Goucher presentation on historical meals
for children
Thu 4 September, 7pm lecture on "Culinary Footprints of Clark County"
There shall also be a cookbook release for "Comfort Food" at a time to
be announced.
The museum is open from 11-4pm Tuesday through Saturday. For more
