Hi all -
One last version before the semester starts...
At least two people (Julie Noor & Sophie Javerzat) asked for a version
of the three linked traits problem where all the organisms in the
field population are pure-breeding. This is because it is a real pain
to breed the triple homozygotes from a mixed field population - the
students spent so much time on that that they didn't have time to do
the 3-point cross. This latest version allows any problem file to
have the option of a homozygous field population.
Specifically, if you have three traits, the field population will
consist only of AABBCC aaBBCC aabbCC AAbbCC AABBcc aaBBcc aabbcc and
AAbbcc (no AaBBCC, etc). Level12TB.pr2 has this type of problem.
I also added Level10-1.pr2 - this is two genes that may or may not
be linked (0.1 < recombination frequency < 0.5).
Enjoy!
