Hi all,

I just found out about this when I was auditing Prof. Eric Lander's class of Introduction to biology at MIT.

I really think this is a great software.

I am starting to use it now.

1. I wanted to know if there is a desktop icon for the software.

2. When i do the crosses, i am not able to find the genotypes of the organisms that i select in the cages. please help.

I’m glad you like VGL. I’m not sure what you mean by a desktop icon - you can make a shortcut to the VGL application and put the shortcut on your desktop. If you want to see the genotypes of your organisms, you have to open a practice mode problem - they have a little ‘p’ in the file name. See the vgl website for details.
