On June 22nd, Heroic Food participants will be spending time on Old Adriance Farm to help the Higgins Family of Black Snake Brewing Co. plant their tasty hops. We will also be learning about the basics of soil science, a key component of any organic farming operation. Farm to table meal included. Event is at no cost to a veteran (+1) participant, with no previous farming experience necessary.

On June 28th, Heroic Food participants will be spending time on Rise and Root Farm in Chester, NY pick extra vegetables for donation to local food pantries. In coordination with Cornell Small Farms, our participants will ensure that the Hudson Valley does not waste food during this historic time of food insecurity due to Covid 19.
