First off I had brought out 2 50' runs of coax and a 100' extension
cord, when I got them back they were in one giant knotted ball, it
took me 20 minutes to untangle and wrap them up. I have never seen any
ham who stored cables in this manner so I can only assume whomever did
it felt they did not need to show the same respect to my equipment
that they would their own.... but at least that was fixable.
Worse is the fact that someone felt it was acceptable to write on the
covers of my personal books with a permanent marker "Not for Free". I
was at the fair all weekend and never had any trouble keeping them
from leaving the table, if you didn't feel comfortable watching them
then you should have put them away. Those books where part of my
personal collection and I felt comfortable leaving them in the care of
my fellow hams, boy was I wrong!
Please do not respond telling me it wasn't you, I am aware many of you
were not even at the fair. And to whoever did this... I don't want
your excuses, I don't want your reasoning, truthfully I don't even
want to know who it was because I hate to lose so much respect for a
fellow ham.
I just wanted everyone to know why my personal equipment, books, and
supplies will no longer be available for any events.
