in joining the team and are also in ARES we understand that those call-
outs will have priority and you will never be asked to choose us over
ARES. Joining this team WOULD allow us to deploy you to events that do
not activate our counties EOC, or to neighboring counties under our
insurance and credentialing, if you are interested. There will also be
opertunities to recieve free training in CPR/First-Aid as well as
disaster training, and training on other communication systems.

What: Communications Open House
When: Friday April 20th 5:30pm till 9pm
Where: Vero Beach Office located at 2506 17th Avenue, Vero Beach
The North Treasure Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross will be
having a Communications Open House Friday April 20th. Everyone is
invited to see the advances the chapter has made in the past year,
including an opportunity to try our new communications console, and
hear about our future plans.
Our Chapter is also forming a Communications Team and we are looking
for volunteers who are interested in learning how to use
communications systems including Voice, Morse Code, Digital, and
Satellite communications to help play a key role in the chapter's
disaster responses. Whether you are a Radio Operator, Computer
Technician, Phone Installer, or just have a strong desire to learn and
help we can use you. Opportunities for training will be available
including a chance to earn your Amateur Radio License.
