Greetings, Moto Guzzi friends. I hope you are enjoying this warm summer weather. I’ve returned from Transylvania, where the weather was considerably cooler, but I’m excited to be able to attend the monthly Guzzi lunches again! Many thanks to Larry for hosting them while I was gone.

During the warm summer months Ron liked to hold lunches on the other side of the mountains, since during the winter the roads over the mountains are often unsafe due to ice. That makes sense to me, so I’d like to take us over the mountains this month.

The July 2026 Central Virginia Moto Guzzi Lunch will be held at Nick’s Italian Kitchen in Buena Vista. As most of you know, for many years we held the Virginia Guzzi Rally in Buena Vista. I always enjoy going back. Nick’s has good food, too. Here are the vitals:

When: 12:30 on Saturday, 7/18/2026.

Where: Nick’s Italian Kitchen, 1314 Magnolia Avenue, Buena Vista, VA, 24416.

Why: “Food, fun, and fellowship” (as the church folk like to say)

Phone: Nick’s phone number is (540) 261-7992.

If you need to contact me, my email address is mjon...@yahoo.com. My cellphone is (434)-333-8333, though I’m decidedly prone to ignoring it. As always, all brands are welcome, as are non-motorcycle modes of transit. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday!

Ride safe,

Mike

"Human reason has this peculiar fate that in one species of its knowledge it is burdened by questions which, as prescribed by the very nature of reason itself, it is not able to ignore, but which, as transcending all its powers, it is also not able to answer." -Immanuel Kant
"For there are some who have such a presumptuous opinion of their own ability that they deem themselves able to measure the nature of everything…. So that the human mind therefore might be freed from such presumption and come to a humble inquiry after truth it was necessary that some things should be proposed to man by God that would completely surpass his intellect.” Thomas Aquinas
