VA Guzziesti,
Well, in spite of beautiful riding weather, I almost had lunch alone
yesterday. After waiting until 12:30, I went in to Carini's & ordered.
While waiting for my food, Dean Rose arrived. We had a nice lunch,
talking Guzzi happenings.
Dean is one of the volunteers taking a leg of the National Guzzi Relay
(
www.nationalguzzirelay.com). This came to life on the wildguzzi list
starting in mid December 2007, I was in the middle of family
difficulties at the time & not keeping up with the list or I'd have
been more involved. Basically, an engraved Guzzi "bacon slicer"
flywheel is being transported around the USA raising money & fostering
Guzzi rider brotherhood. It is to end up at the National Rally next
month. It is now in Florida & will be brought to North Carolina where
Dean will will take posession. Dean is to transport it to the next
rider in West Virginia. If you are interested in riding with Dean, or
having a photo op, contact Dean at
glr...@cox.net. He expects to "get
the call" & head out for the pick-up any day now.
