Hi fellow Electric Vehicle Enthusiasts.

This truck is my first experience in converting a vehicle to run on electricity.
I have done several cars that now run on natural gas as well as gasoline.
I'm interested in what ever you would like to share.
I would love to hear from anyone who has information on vacuum pumps to replace the power brakes that now don't work in my truck.
I'm guessing there is an inexpensive solution to the power brakes problem.
If there's a website that I can go to, tell me what it is.

I don’t know your requirements for noise, but if you’re looking for a quiet pump, here’s one (though it’s a bit pricey):

Some diesels had a vacuum pump, you could drive one with a little electric motor every time the brake lights are on. You'd also want a pipe to make a vacuum reservoir for reserve capacity. Mount the motor on rubber so it doesn't transmit a bunch of noise into the bodywork.

On my gasser, I switched to Hawk HPS pads, they have more grip and greatly reduced pedal effort.

Hi Jed, I have a Thomas vacuum pump out of my old civic conversion if you want to buy it. It is still in the car if you want to hear it run. Email me if interested.
