Bully Pulpit

While Andy has not needed to run a campaign for a role on the board in
the past, he seems to recognize that this year that will be required
of him.

I find his creation of a new e-mail address and his use of it and of
the e-addresses of saints that subscribe to the cyberline as a Bully
Pulpit for advancing a cause with which many of us disagree apalling.

If any other board member behaved the same it seems the obscure
"confidentiality pledge" or whatever it is would be used to sanction
that board member.

I will say in Andy's favor, that I can not recall him saying one rude
thing on the cyberline. He can at least be polite in e-mails to the
group as a whole. I can not say the same for his individual
communications as a coordinator.
