I'd like to propose a brief conference call sometime this week, at a
mutually convenient time, to discuss getting our User testing and
feedback process for Crisis Camp moved forward. The deliverable of
that call would be a simple, brief (1 page) bulleted guide on doing u-
testing that could be shown all the people working on these efforts.

My experience at the SV Camp last Saturday is that we can get a lot of
useful feedback about these projects pretty quickly with some basic
prompting and good approach.

We are all very busy, but I think the key effort is required now to
get the process in the best order possible and easy to replicate.

Anyone interested in participating in this call, please contact me.

Hi, Hunter:

Is this call intended to include just those with Usability experience
or
also the non-technical volunteer in the role of test taker?

I am able to participate in an evening call this week (provided you
want the
test takers on this particular call). Admittedly, I am a bit confused
about the
testing process.

Thanks,

Veena

This call is meant to help in the development of a solid UX testing
process that will work most effectively in the context of Crisis
Commons. It is open to anyone who is interested helping in this
collaborative effort.

Simply put, part of the challenge is getting reliable help with things
including logistics, testing and document editing. One of our hopes
here is that we can help provide a testing process in which non-
experts can be quickly trained to do some consistent, useful feedback
in the design and development process.

Some of the projects we may look at have a medical information/
documentation component, so people with that knowledge may be able to
really help in setting up those evaluations.

Thanks,

Hunter

Hunter, a group call sounds great to me as I am not yet up to speed on
anything that has not been on the list, but I would like to start
participating.

I am pretty flexible, just let me know when the call is scheduled.

best,

Chris,

I'm not sure about the call yet, but there are definitely projects for you
to jump in and start participating. There is one in particular that could
use some UX help now. I'll have some information on that in an hour or two
and let you and the group know.

Cheers,

Hunter
