"A Salute to Veterans with Captain Ian Gindes" at Krannert Center

Fellow University of Illinois Music Faculty and Students:

You are cordially invited to join me for a special celebration at
Krannert Center on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014, at 3 P.M. "A Salute to
Veterans with Captain Ian Gindes" will honor all those who have defended
the United States, including Veterans from World War I to the present
with a performance from our American musical heritage. This concert is
part of the university's cross-campus initiative to remember the 100th
Anniversary of World War I.

I will be playing a variety of American music spanning the classical
tradition influenced by jazz, vaudeville, film and Broadway, including
Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, famous works by Aaron Copland and
contemporary music in the same style. Plus, there will be a fun finale!

Bring your friends and family for what will be a wonderful afternoon!
