May is National Foster Parent Appreciation Month

 

Cunningham Children's Home in Urbana partners with the Department of Children and Family Services to provide foster care homes for youth in our area who are being temporarily removed from their homes.  When there are not enough homes to meet the need, children from our community have to move away from their schools, friends, and other caring people in their lives.  Cunningham is seeking adults would be willing to share their love and home with a child who is coping with a stressful situation.

 

Minimum requirements:

care and concern for young people

21+ years of age

live within 45 miles of Urbana

participation in a total of 27 hours of training

able to meet State licensing standards
