Parity Act (H 1197). Please join us for a Dinner & Discussion on The
Education Parity bill and Issues of Higher Ed. Access for Immigrant
Students on TUESDAY, JUNE 26th from 5-7pm (see below for details).

DINNER & DISCUSSION on issues of Higher Ed. Access for Immigrant
Students:
Please join us TUESDAY, JUNE 26th from 5-7pm for a dinner & discussion
at the Youth Center of the East Boston Ecumenical Community Council.
Location: EBECC Youth Center- 28 Paris Street, East Boston (one block
from the Maverick Square stop on the Blue line).
On the agenda:
*Important information on a system-wide policy change regarding
residency status for tuition purposes passed by the MA Board of Higher
Ed. This policy change will be implemented in all State Universities,
colleges and community colleges beginning July 1st and will benefit
many immigrant students who are lawfully residing in pending status-
come learn about these important changes and help us spread this
information.
*Update on the Education Parity Act & strategizing on moving forward.
*Reviving a task force/coalition to support Higher Ed. access issues
for immigrant students.
