to University of Reddit - DJ 101 Beat Matching & Transition
Alright guys. So my name is Tin, I will be here to teach you guys the
basis of DJ'ing This is technically not something you can really
teach, but this can help as a reference as what you will need to be
doing. You will only be as good as the amount of practice you put into
it. like any hobby it will be a rough start but once you get going it
becomes the most gratifying thing to know when you make a mix take or
play live at a club and see the people dance, download, upvote, or just
see how many people approve... That is what makes me do this. The
great sense of joy that random people can give you.
So. again I cant stress this enough get some kind of controller if not
real gear to start mixing. you are going to need headphones in order
to mix correctly.
First Video 5-10 minutes long. Learning your interface, learning the
basis of beat matching. Select two tracks of your choice and beatmatch
them while attempting to transition into another track.
A video will be posted later tonight alongside a new mixtape I"ll be
making. let other redditors know about this class if they want in.
