Can you go into more detail about the hardware we will be needing. I
dont own any of that stuff - where can I get it -- what does it
actually do?

Hey there, Certainly.

Okay will for the people deciding to see if this is something they
would like to pursue. than I would recomend a "All in One Midi
Controller" for DJ'ing. if you area really really interested in it and
want to make something out if you can purchase decks and a mixer.

The average cost of a Midi controller ranges from 120-1000 USD. There
are plenty out there and you can choose which one you like. You can
normally find these on Ebay, Amazon, Guitar Center, or Local Music
stores. The one i have is a M-Audio Xponent. It has its own integrated
sound card and works really good.

if you want Decks. (CDJ's or Vinyl) each individual deck can cost from
400-1200, *You NEED 2* and a mixer can go from 100-3000$ easy. you
need one mixer 2 channels or more.

I would recommend searching on craigslist for the keyword DJ to find
equipment tag along with a friend that knows about equipment and test
it *ALWAYS TEST CRAIGSLIST STUFF*

I would reccomend if you decide you want a midi controler a Xone,
Xponent, or a Herculez. google em.

Look em up. * MAKE SURE YOU GET AN ALL IN ONE & it needs its own SOUNDCARD*

if you need anything else just reply.

-regards Tin
