Peace,

There have been various events which have induced a slight change in the previous road map detailed in the 'Update!' email dated Sep. 22, 2006.

The then proposed road map:

1)  Official Specifications Requirements to be released
2)  Official Specifications Requirements to be approved by the proposed USV
Framework Committee.
3)  Official XML Schema released
4)  Official XML Schema approved by the USV Framework Committee.
5)  The conversion(typecasting) of various available scriptures into the
approved XML Schema.
6)  A Unified Modeling Language(UML) Model of the USV (*Framework*) Browser
developed.
7)  The above UML Model to be approved by the USV Framework Committee.
8)  Development of the USV Browser as per the approved UML Model.

The current road map has some interesting changes thanks to the introduction, By the Grace of God, to development processing known as Extreme Programming(XP).  This is Agile development style which replaces the necessity of the UML Model of the software(Step 6 - above).  Instead, we have to following:

OFFICIAL USV BROWSER ROAD MAP

What has been done and what can be done about it:
1)  Official Specifications Requirements(INCLUDED IN THIS EMAIL)
2)  Any thoughtful additions by whomever will be immediately Incorporated into the Specification Requirements when and as required.  Would like to get inputs from y'all on what you think of the included specifications, God Willing.

The first two steps are now completed and the requirements specifications can be upgraded as required in the ongoing future, which allows us to simultaneously:
3)  Begin Active Development
4)  Develop the official XML Schema side-by-side with USV Browser Development.
5)  Internationalization of the software commencing via the USV Browser Language Committee.  Of which, Khaja and Imran have unknowingly volunteered to set up the Tamil Language Packs.

As the XML Schema gets finalized, the following will take place, God Willing:
6)  The conversion(typecasting) of various available scriptures into the
approved XML Schema.
7)  Official XML Schema approved by the USV Framework Committee for official public release to allow others to create XML documents containing their respective scriptures that can be viewed by the USV Browser.

As the future progresses, God Willing:
8)  Continuous revisiting and upgrading of the requirements specifications.
9)  Continuous Upgrading and Development of the software.

God Bless,

shree mulay

PS.  Any one of you would like to volunteer to make language packs in respective languages for the software as the development begins, God Willing, shortly.
