Happy (almost officially summer)!

Action steps: sign up + get your company to sponsor or match our trivia $$

0. Round tables. See below. This is when we get to see our students’ final product. Even if you’ve been busy all year it would mean a lot to them for you to stop by. Signup below

1. Trivia: we sold 77 tickets with net cost $900 to the venue=$3720 made! This was an esp tough year given weddings (congrats prat+Erika!) and grad school (yay Varun!) but we did okay.

2. What went well? High percentage of repeat attendees=we are getting buy in. Also was nice for staff to see the excitement

4. What can be improved? We only started to appreciate the power of corporate sponsors. Between the 5 of us, almost 20 tickets were via corporate. We can also work with eager attendees on doing the same. The multiplier effect is potentially very large.

5. So what can you do if you didn’t have a chance to help with trivia? Try to get your company involved! Perhaps they want to match , give a portion etc. what’s better way to give than give someone else’s money!!

Subject: Unity's Sixth Annual Roundtable Presentations - Please join us!
To: <rshan...@gmail.com>

Dear friends, colleagues, community members, and supporters,

It’s not too late to sign up for Roundtables at Unity! See below for details and please don’t forget to sign up here: Roundtable Availability

Roundtables offer a profound opportunity for our students to present highlights of what they have learned over the course of the school year to a small and intimate audience, including their caregivers, advisors, and other school and community members.

We would be honored to have you as a distinguished guest at our Roundtable presentations, happening this year from June 18th through 20th. All of our middle school students will present a portfolio of their work in order to be promoted to the next grade level. As a guest at Roundtables, you will have the chance to hear the students' reflections of the year, ask questions, and experience first-hand the challenge and excitement as our talented students present and reflect on their work in front of a live audience.

Roundtables take place every hour, on the hour, at the following times:

  • Tuesday, June 18th: 9 AM - 3 PM (last presentation begins at 2 PM)
  • Wednesday, June 19th: 12 PM - 8 PM (last presentation begins at 7 PM)
  • Thursday, June 20th: 12 PM - 8 PM (last presentation begins at 7 PM)

Roundtable presentations are a more authentic experience if students are presenting to adults from outside the school, so we depend on community members and supporters (like you!) to volunteer their time and show their support. Some time slots are harder to fill, so please let us know if your schedule is flexible. Guests may attend up to four Roundtables presentations.  Our guests in prior years have found the experience to be most valuable when they can stay for at least 2 or 3 presentations. We had almost 100 community members and supporters in attendance last year - we are aiming to double attendance this year! Even if you can only attend one, we would love to have you!

If you are able to take part, please complete the following survey form:

If you have any questions about Unity’s Roundtable presentations, please do not hesitate to contact Michelle Gaines, Middle School Co-Principal, at mga...@unityprep.org.

I do hope that you decide to join us for a presentation or two.  I am quite certain that you will find the experience to be immensely gratifying.

Best regards,

Josh Beauregard
