FEB 2019: AB IN PERSON MEETING NEXT TUES (PLS READ*****)

AB Team--

A lot has happened since we last spoke--for example, it is rumored that Kylie and Travis scott got engaged at the superbowl. Needless to say, it is a constantly evolving world and we must prepare.

Below are the the three main ongoing efforts for AB for the remainder of ths year--for next tuesday's meeting, please consider which of the three most interest you; please come prepared with questions and ideas. Watch out for a quick follow up survey

Given the breadth of items to discuss, we will do an in-person meeting with food. Location TBD but assume midtown (close to all major subway lines) 8PM FEB 12. Try your best to make it+assume this won't happen that often.

ITEM	Description	Details/open questions
Summer Internship Prep+Placement	Guide students in job placement process	Process spans resume building/job selection/interview prep.Likely will begin as 1:1 (i.e assigned to one student); will be important to build contacts of business owner in wburg/bedstuy area.
Crowdfunding	Raise money for ongoing school needs	Will need to jumpstart campaign with initial funding target; ultimately need to gain buy-in from other school stakeholders (teachers, board, community members etc); as starting point use template from past successes m brown+remi
Spring Trivia	Yearly trivia event	Need to assess what to change from last year to increase $ raised (venue location+deal format, ticket pricing, event planning etc)

Finally, here are three smaller events which either require some (or no) planning

- Community Service/Winter Cleanup: School cleaning, painting, etc. (Date TBD)

Come in during a friday (or weekday) to help revitalize the school and potentially introduce a new group of people to the school and its mission (maybe your work friends or your actual friends!)

- Career Fair (Fri 4/12/19)

Come in during the day to present on what you do for a living, answer student questions etc. Dazzle students with your powerpoint skills.

- Ribbon Cutting Event: Wed. 3/27/19

Attend to meet other members of the unity network.
