Compensation for Delay in Handover

Guys,

Guess time for the formal handover of the Garden apartment has passed
as per the sale agreement. Did any of the members have heard back from
Unitech on the compensation front. Last coomunication that I have
received (for Horizon) through an official letter was the information
that the apartment will be handed in a phased manner by 3rd quarter
2008. There is no mention of any compensation as well as regret from
Unitech's end for the delay.

Any update on the same will sure do the group good.

No clue!

 

As usual do not expect Unitech to act upto professional standards and regret for the delay...they will find something within the fine lines to get over with it. I had heard South City also tried doing that.....but I think all the future residents should get together, raise concerns with strong voice and ask Unitech for for the compensation (which is ofcourse very less - probably INR 5.00 per sqft per month)....

 

So on a 1500 sqft, you will get INR 7500 per month for the delay...if they delay for 10 months, then the Club membership should be FREE...

 

You know one thing Unitech Kolkata office does very diligently - mailing / couriering the demand / receipt letter. I get them within 2/3 days....

 

On a different note, if anyone had visited the site recently please send some pictures....
