http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/vampirethemasqueradecurpg/ is looking
for Vampire: the Masquerade, and Werewolf: the Apocalypse players. We need
vampires from various Clans, Garou from various tribes, Kinfolk, Fera, and
plain vanilla Mortal Humans are okay, too.
The main ST is on hiatus due to real life at the moment, but I am the
Assistant ST and the Werewolf ST, so all character sheets and questions need
to be sent to me, at vern...@pyramid3.net . I am also on Yahoo Instant
Messenger under: mysty_nyx_terrer
At first appearance, Omega City looks like any other major city, especially
New York City, but can't be found on any map. That's because some very
powerful vampires in the past decided to do away with the Masquerade and
strive for peace between the numerous species. Naturally, the Camarilla did
not like the idea, and the Sabbat would try to take advantage of the
situation, so the same vampires worked together to use some extremely
powerful magick to hide Omega from the rest of the world, turning it into a
'mythical' city. Unfortunately, the magick was not without some pretty
severe side effects.
1. The magick formed a Nexus, creating often unstable portals into other
worlds and warps in Reality, which can let some rather strange and
'interesting' things happen.
2. Omega has taken on a life of her own, becoming a living entity. You
don't find Omega.....Omega finds YOU. The city itself seems to travel,
appearing suddenly from out of nowhere. A person can literally be driving
down a lonely desert highway one minute, and have to swerve to avoid
slamming into the side of a glass office building in a busy city the next.
Each person entering Omega has a different experience, but each one is just
as shocking and unexpected.
3. Once inside Omega, ALL contact with the outside world is lost, so any
Resources are also lost, except for whatever is presently on the person or
in any car they might be in that might go with them. No phone calls to
banks, friends, family, or contacts. No accessing bank accounts through the
Internet. It's as if Omega exists inside a huge bubble.
4. Once in Omega, no one can leave, unless/until Omega allows it, after the
person performs some great deed or quest. Anyone who does manage to escape
Omega has NO MEMORY of Omega's existence or of anything that happened there.
This is part of Omega's defenses to keep her enemies --and mere curiosity
seekers-- from trying to seek her out.
At present, there are very few Spirits in the Omegan Umbra, being kept out
by the same magick that keeps most of Omega's enemies out. The Wyrm is
currently the Balance Wyrm. However, a group of Black Spiral Dancers who
have just entered Omega are trying to change that. At the same time, there
is a growing group of citizens who don't like the idea of every species
knowing about and 'getting along with' each other, and have formed a group
called The Horsemen. The Horsemen's actual purpose and goals have yet to be
discovered, but their methods tend to lean towards terrorism, and they
appear to be intent on toppling the government. Although they appear to be
a racist hate group, they seem to have attracted members from all
races....Kindred, Garou, Fera, Human, etc. No one knows how many are in
this growing organization, nor who is in it. Only rumors.
Now would be the perfect time to join. The BSDs are up to something, and
have done something mysterious to imprison many of the city's
citizens.....as well as somehow draw in some prisoners from outside of
Omega. In the current situation, a brave and sly young Ventrue is in the
process of breaking free of his shackles and freeing the other
prisoners....but will they be able to escape? Do they have what it takes to
escape? Stay tuned............
....or better yet....join in the fun! Send your character sheets to me, and
I'll get you into the game.
We are especially looking for good, imaginative writers who would really
contribute to the story.
