Yes, the listing's been on Craiglist since November!
I've gotten about 8-10 responses. Most - or at least half - never show
up, the rest eventually drop out because they don't have time for the
reading, and the other two troopers, well, they're finally moving back
to cities where there actually is a spark of intellect. (Maine and New
Orleans)
Book store postings are a good idea, but at this point, I'm feeling
pretty discouraged, like locking myself in my room with a bottle of
Jameson and finishing the book by myself. That's how I read it the
first time, but the bottlew was Bourdeaux and "my room" was the Cantal
dept. of France!
Are you in SF? Interested in on-line discussions of Ulysses or FW?
Real life meeting are more fun and effective, but we do what we can.
Eventually I'll get out of this place and move to a city or town with
a soul and a drop of consciousness.
