Man, 21, stabbed in street attack

A 21-year old man remains in hospital after he was hit on the head and
stabbed in a Gloucester street.

Police say the local man was approached in Nettleton Road by between
five and seven black men on Wednesday afternoon.

They allegedly hit him in the head stabbed him in the back and took his
mobile phone before escaping, some on foot and some on bikes.

The man was taken for treatment to Gloucester Royal hospital. Police
are appealing for witnesses.
