Dear Friends:
Please come to help support DVAN and reach out to your friends and
network. DVAN provides a much needed forum for diasporic Vietnamese
artists, and thus a tremendous and worthwhile venue for the Vietnamese
American community.
All inquiries should be directed to Professor Isabelle Pelaud.
DVAN would like to
invite you to our fundraising event on May 22, 6-10pm at Andrew
Lam's Infinity condominium in San Francisco, California (http://www.the-infinity.com/amenities/clublounge.aspx ).
Andrew Lam and Aimee Phan will do a reading. Our goal is
to raise monies for the continuation of our exciting and dynamic
program, one that includes literary readings, an anthology of women's
writing and artwork, and art exhibits. In
order to reach this goal, we will have a silent auction of
artwork, signed books and movies at this event. We are a new
organization, composed of all volunteers, and we would like to solicit
as much community support as possible. The name of our
organization is The Diasporic Vietnamese Artists Network (DVAN). Our
mission is to promote the works of Vietnamese American artists
(writers, painters and filmmakers) as well as those living in the
Diaspora. All donations are tax-deductible.Sincerely,
