Hi,
Just wanting to reach out to see how you are. As a UCSD colleague of mine said today, "This is shit." But racism has always been shit. So here we are. Wondering how to hold it, what to do, how to take all the feels and transform those to actions. Today the
only answer I have is to keep showing up. And to remember Wayne Arnason's words:
Take courage friends.
The way is often hard.
The path is never clear.
And the stakes are very high.
Take courage, friends.
Deep down there is anther truth.
You are not alone.
This is a good reminder to start with something. To remember that just because we can't do everything, to still do the things we can do. Please participate in BE THE CHANGE: a training for building multi-cultural, anti-racist beloved community. Sundays--December
14, January 25 and February 1. 1:30-5 pm in Bard Hall. Six 90-minute sessions. Just for young adults. Please let me know that you can attend.
Much Love to all.
Alice
