to UT MMBSS
Hi everyone,
To our old members, welcome back! I hope you all had a great summer
and your classes are going well.
To our new students, welcome to UT, and welcome to the UT Micro and
Molecular Biology Students Society! I hope that your first few days of
classes are going well and you are enjoying college life in Austin. UT
is a great place to be, and I congratulate you all for making it here!
Anyways, I just wanted to let you all know that the first MMBSS
meeting of the year will be held tomorrow, Wednesday Sept. 2, from 6-7
PM in WEL 2.256. (The room is located in the main hall of Welch.)
During the meeting, we will be serving food and drinks and providing
some information about our organization. We'll then do a fun ice
breaker. After that, we'll split up into teams and play Cranium. We
have lots of goodies and gift cards to hand out to everyone, so you
definitely don't want to miss out!
Before I go, I wanted you know that we at MMBSS pride ourselves in the
academic diversity of our organization. Our officers and members have
a wide range of majors, and some even come from outside of the College
of Natural Sciences. So, don't let our name scare you. In MMBSS, there
is something for everyone, no matter what your academic interests are,
and we hope you will attend our first meeting so we can show you this
first hand.
Sincerely,
Sanjeev Shah
