Those who are familiar with the works of Douglas Adams will recognize this as a swan song, and that would be correct.  I have sold DRiPInvesting.org and am passing it along to capable hands.

The website was born almost 20 years ago when The Motley Fool decided to make people pay to access their message boards (an unfortunate decision, that was later reversed).  I wrote message boards so that people could freely help other people, and over time expanded it to include information about dividend reinvestment plans and dividend investing.

About two years ago, I started a blog to offer what information I could in a fashion that could be easily retrieved.  For the most part, I have said in those articles pretty much everything I needed to say about the subject, so passing the baton on to someone else may result in new and more informative information.

By no longer maintaining the website, I can spend more time with photography, music composition, travel, and attempting to up my chess game.  It's funny, after retiring, I ended up with less time than more, as there is so much I want to do.

The take-away from all of this is that financially I can do these things.  During my working life, I made a moderate income, but invested wisely and lived beneath my means.  Dividend investing was a huge part of my investing strategy.  If one reads my articles on dividend investing and follows the solid path forward, they should do just fine.

So thanks for letting me serve you over the past couple of decades, it has been one of the joys in my life.

Cheers –

george

George, we would all greatly appreciate having someone continue the historical DPS data.  Could you please comment on this?  Who is the new owner and how can he be contacted?
Thank you and happy retirement.
David
