Can I say under 40K but USC inflates the actual number to make it seem less embarrassing? 43K sounds about right
No joke they should pay to bus in kids from every school available to make this look more respectable to an ESPN audience.

For sure under 40K. There are so many things to do in LA.

Forcing schools like USC set in the middle of one of the country's largest cities to host weeknight football games is a joke. Ignoring the fact that we are the needle for the Pac 12. This shit pisses me off. We have 6 home games a year. The fact we have to give into this is a joke. Did everyone see Larry Scott defend his 4.7M salary as being in line with other "media executives"? If thats the case he should be fired because the Pac 12 as a media entity is a disaster.

I keep trying to talk myself into this: the win expectation with a true freshman on the road @ stanford and @ texas is certainly 1 win at most, and 0 wins probably the most probably outcome. So the sky isn't falling on us salvaging the season.
But a big Stephen A Smith HOWEVA - The problem is the way we played and just basically got blown out playing only 1 good quarter of football over a possible 4. Kind of sad for stanford that they could only score 17 points on us.

Maybe I'm misremembering, but I feel like I've wanted to fire Helton each of the past 2 or 3 seasons... and every time I start thinking that, he pulls off a string of ridiculous wins to keep his job. So I'm half-thinking we're going to win out and have these same conversations next year.

I hope WAZZU beats the $hit out of us tomorrow. I'm done with the "Pretender". It's not that we lost at Stanford and at Texas, it's HOW we lost.
Only program in nation with this kind of talent year in, year out....that continues to suck. No one gets better. I'll say it one more time: Darnold got worse with our coaching staff.

Bobby, not to be overly cynical, but which of his wins over the past few years would you describe as "ridiculous"? The Rose Bowl was an amazingly fun and memorable game, but that game was saved by Darnold after the team collapsed in the second half. The win at Washington in 2016 is probably his best win, and it was a good one.
He never should have been hired, and has deserved to be fired every since the Christian McCaffery Pac-12 Championship Game (an utter joke) and the Wisconsin Holiday Bowl loss, which is probably worst USC performance I have ever seen in a "competitive" game. Every result during, before, and after has been indicative of his abilities. His tenure needs to end as soon as possible; I hope WSU drops 70 on us tomorrow night in front of 300 fans.
More likely, he will wobble to 8-4 and win the South by beating nobody of consequence, and we will be back here next year doing the same thing after getting demolished by BYU in Provo (really excited for the opener against Fresno State too!)

I have no idea which of the wins were ridiculous... I guess poor word choice... I just feel like we're in this situation every freaking year and then he saves his job by closing with W's. I basically feel the same way that everyone else seems to feel: we all want him gone, but I think we all would bet that he's still head coach next year.
