We are currently hiring four Senior Architects/Development Consultants for a long term and high profile project.
The objective of this project is to re-design and re-write eight legacy computer applications that are at risk of failure due to increasing incompatibility with computer infrastructure and complexity to modify. This project will eliminate the risk by (1) applying today’s architecture principles and contemporary programming languages to the re-write of the applications; and (2) giving the Information Services (IS) developers hands-on experience working with contractors who have expert skills in applying the .NET 3.5+ tools and contemporary software design “best practices”.
Each consultant will have two main areas of responsibility that include:
· Technical Software Development Training and Documentation
· Software Development, Testing and Defect Repairs
Required skills relevant to technical software development training
Candidates must of 3 years experience in the following areas:
· Creating and documenting detailed application architectures and software designs that maximize the best practices and design principles for 3-tier applications based on .net 2.0-3.5+ Framework, Microsoft tools, and the principles of a Service Oriented Architecture.
· Designing, building and testing n-tier client server and web development against load-balanced servers under the Windows 2000/Vista operating environment.
· Documented history of effective teaching and coaching of software developers in these technologies.
· Concise and effective writing skills in the production of software design documents.
· Leading formal design reviews and code walk-throughs.
· Planning and leading daily technical work within small teams.
Candidates must have One or more years experience in the following:
· Effectively applying web services within the Windows Communication Framework (WCF) to applications of moderate size and complexity.
· Ability to effectively apply Windows Workflow Foundation (WWF) and SSIS.
Required skills relevant to software programming, testing and defect repairs
Candidates must have 5 years experience in the following areas:
· Designing, building and testing 3-tier client server and web-based applications that execute on load-balanced servers under the Windows Server/2000/Vista operating environment
· Creating, executing and reporting on unit tests based on Functional Specifications
· Troubleshooting and correcting defects in VB.net and ASP.net applications.
Candidates must have 3 years experience applying the following development tools:
· VB.Net 2.0 and ASP.Net
· Java Script
· .NET Framework 2.0 and 3.5
· Visual Basic 6.0
· SQL 2000/2005, including development of stored procedures
· Visual Studio 2005/2008
· XML and XSLT
· Web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, CSS
· Web services using WCF
· Team Foundation Server code check-in, check-out and Branching and Merging
· Windows 2000/Vista desktop
· MS Office 2007
Candidates much have One or more years experience with the following:
· Effectively applying web services within the Windows Communication Framework (WCF) to applications of moderate size and complexity.
Other Mandatory Qualifications and Experience
· Verifiable history of taking ownership for communicating issues and ideas that lead to on-time completion of work.
· Prior experience performing communication path development
· Prior experience of working from technical specifications documentation and writing deployment/implementation scripts.
· Demonstrated ability to communicate well in written and oral form within various project team environments containing business and technical representatives.
· Verifiable history of maintaining excellent, positive, solution-oriented working relationships with clients and customers.
